Dielectric Loaded Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna at 1.5 GHz

The purpose of this paper is to show the effect of soil which is used as a loaded material on Microstrip patch antenna operated at 1.5 GHz. In this paper different type of soil are taken & compare their effect when it is wet & dry. For this purpose the device IE3D simulator, Spectrum Analyzer (FS315) and tested soil from soil lab. From this experimental result here show that how much signal absorbed when it loaded.

Design and Implementation of digital FIR band stop filter for removal artifact from noisy ECG signal

In Digital signal processing, FIR Band stop Filter used to remove an unknown noise component in ECG signal lying within a 60 Hz frequency range. This paper gives the design appropriate signal processing algorithms for the refinement of ECG signals so that their characteristics may be extracted: this involves the design of a digital filter for the elimination of the power line interference and determines the waveform characteristics (PR, QRS and ST intervals and PR and ST segments) of the available ECG recording. Comparison of these characteristics with those of normal ECG recordings provides a way of identifying problems with the human cardiovascular system.

Challenges in Mobile Ad Hoc Network for Secure Data Transmission

An ad-hoc mobile network is a collection of mobile nodes that are dynamically and arbitrarily located in such a manner that the interconnections between nodes are capable of changing on a continual basis. The primary goal of such an ad-hoc network routing protocol is correct and efficient route establishment between a pair of nodes so that messages may be delivered in a timely manner. LAR is an on-demand protocol who is based on the DSR (Dynamic Source Routing). The Location Aided Routing protocol uses location information to reduce routing overhead of the ad-hoc network! Normally the LAR protocol uses the GPS (Global Positioning System) to get these location information’s. With the availability of GPS, the mobile hosts knows there physical location. Ad hoc networks are a new wireless networking paradigm for mobile hosts. Unlike traditional mobile wireless networks, ad hoc networks do not rely on any fixed infrastructure. Instead, hosts rely on each other to keep the network connected.

Miniature Microstrip Antenna with and without a Superstrate at THz Frequency

This paper presents comparative study of a rectangular Microstrip patch antenna at Terahertz (THz) frequency ranging from 0.6 to 1 THz with and without superstrate. The results reported here were obtained using a software HFSS 11.0 which uses full wave finite element method for simulation. In this study the miniature antenna was simulated first and then we load it with a superstrate and varied the height of the superstrate to optimize the antenna performance. Here in this paper we have selected 4 antenna configurations to compare. First antenna is a simple rectangular patch, second antenna is having a superstrate of height 50 microns, Third antenna is with a superstrate of 75 micron height and the fourth antenna is with a superstrate of 100 micron. Best performance of antenna i.e., -10dB bandwidth of around 19% was achieved at central frequency of 0.5 THz and 75 micron superstrate height.

Analysis of the effectiveness of DSTATCOM for VoltageSag Reduction

Quality of power has always been an area of interest and needs continuous improvement for transmission and distribution system. In this paper the power quality issues viz. sag and swell are being analyzed for a distribution network. The effectiveness of DSTATCOM has been explored so that these above said power quality issues are mitigated up to a considerable extent. The performance of the device is examined when connected in shunt to a power distribution system. The results obtained validate a good performance of the model developed and high usefulness of the device to mitigate problems introduced. All simulations have been performed using MATLAB. Further the same system is analyzed for voltage sag conditions with and without DSTATCOM.
